AI on the right side
of history.
NeuroBazar is a Canadian technology company built around three commitments — to humanity, to nature, and to equity. We are here to make sure the AI era is designed for the people it will affect, the planet it will draw from, and the right of every person to participate.
§ I
Humanity
Dignity, consent, refusal as first-class affordances.
§ II
Nature
A finite planet sets the floor of our ambitions.
§ III
Equity
Affordable AI is a right, not a tier.
§ I
Humanity
We treat the human as a counterparty, not a data source.
A worker is not a workflow. A patient is not a row in a database. A student is not engagement minutes to be optimised. We refuse to ship products that take the shortcut of treating people as the cheapest input. Dignity, consent, and the right of refusal are first-class affordances in everything we build — and they will remain so when it costs us, because it eventually will.
The technology of this era has documented gravitational pull toward extractive shapes. We acknowledge it, and we resist it in the part of the stack we control: the way our products greet the user, the way they ask before acting, the way they explain themselves, the way they remember to forget.
-
Consent before action
No agent acts on money, message, or data without explicit, scoped consent.
-
Refusal as a feature
The user can turn personalisation off — and the product still works.
-
Citation by default
Every AI-generated claim names the source it came from.
§ II
Nature
A finite planet sets the floor of our ambitions.
AI is not weightless. Every inference draws on energy, water, and silicon. Every datacentre sits in a watershed. We do not pretend the externalities of our industry are someone else’s problem. We measure the energy intensity of what we ship. We refuse to design products whose entire value depends on incentivising more extraction of finite resources.
We also believe AI’s most consequential contribution this decade will be helping humanity steward the planet — adaptation, monitoring, restoration, food systems, climate resilience — and not the inverse. The products we choose to build reflect that hierarchy of uses.
-
Energy honesty
Energy and carbon intensity disclosed per product surface.
-
AI for stewardship
Climate adaptation and restoration on the product roadmap.
-
Refusal of extractive surfaces
We will not ship products whose value is finite-resource extraction.
§ III
Equity
Affordable AI is a right, not a tier.
The most dangerous outcome of the AI era is not that AI works badly. It is that AI works very well — only for a handful of organisations rich enough to build their own. We hold that access to capable AI, like access to electricity, to literacy, to credit, should be near-universal, not concentrated.
The right to education, the right to affordable AI, and the right to participate in the systems being built around us are the foundation on which we are building Midcore as a substrate that small organisations and civic institutions can actually run. The technical work is the means. Equity is the end.
-
Affordable AI
Capable AI within reach of mid-sized firms, schools, and civic institutions.
-
Education as a right
Open materials so anyone can learn how the systems around them work.
-
A right to participate
No moats designed to keep small actors out of the AI era.
“What an AI company chooses to build is what the next century inherits.”
— The position
The instrument
Our values do not work on a slogan.
We built the instruments.
We design and ship Midcore — the platform that translates the position above into running code. Twenty modules. Each one engineered to enable the consenting AI and to regulate the extractive one. Four patent families and nine provisionals anchor the IP. Twelve products ride on top.
The technical depth — module architecture, the Charter, developer documentation, product roadmaps — lives on its own site so this page can stay about the position.

We are not building NeuroBazar to flip in five years. We are building it to be here in fifty. Our patents are filed, our Charter is published, our commitments are public. The work is concentrated on purpose; the horizon is long on purpose. Both are part of what we mean by foundation-grade.

We have chosen which side of this we are on.
The AI era is one of those rare moments when the substrate of a society is being chosen in real time. We do not believe that choice should be made by accident, by inertia, or by the entity that happens to be cheapest to deploy. We are a small Canadian company. We hold a position, in public, that we are willing to be measured against. If you stand somewhere near us — as a buyer, a builder, a regulator, a citizen — we would like to know.
